IDEA PEN PAPER PRODUCT

HOW IT CAME TO BE

Designed for the person who appreciates the finer things in life and know quality when they see it. The ones who value time and experiences rather than short term pleasures. The ones who are subtle in their movements and create impacts where they count.

DESIGN

The idea was nothing special; just a thought of a hat that can be worn, to the gym, and would be able to withstand a variety of workouts.  Something that can be sweat in, thrown around, have weights dropped on it, be utilized in a rough environment and at the same time, be so comfortable & lightweight; it’s like it’s not even there.

It was, originally, suppose to be a white logo on a black hat.  It was, also, going to have perforated side panels and a Velcro strap amongst other items that were tossed to the side due to overall quality composition.

Pencil, Pencil, Pencil.  Drafting then erasing.  Adding and modifying.

DEVELOPMENT

After all items were Fanatics Approved, our friends at TECHPACKS.CO made our sketch design into beautiful computer renderings.  We worked with them, for months, until we felt that all elements were ready to be moved into physical application.

We, then, sent out our design to manufacturers all over the world – and our sampling journey began.

TESTING

In order to ensure all standards were met, we ran each Sample through a series of tests; most of which took months to complete.

Some of the tests included:

Swimming with it in chlorinated pools, salt water pools, and different bodies of water Leaving it outside for days at a time Letting it sit in the car for weeks exposed to the sun and temperature fluctuations Covering it in mud, dirt, sand, gravel, and other varieties of sediment Sweat in it A LOT Not washing it for months at a time  Carrying weight in it Hand Washing Machine Washing Air Drying Tumble Drying   And Much Much More

FINISHED PRODUCT

And after all of that – drawing, drafting, editing, sketching, reviewing, testing, reviewing, testing, reviewing testing, reviewing, and testing – we finally came to our finished product:

THE HAT
